We had the opportunity to complete a bathroom renovation in Maylands, transforming a dated and worn-out space into a modern, functional bathroom. The project was an exciting challenge that involved bringing a fresh, contemporary look to an older home while addressing some unique structural challenges.
The client’s main goal was to modernise the bathroom, creating a sleek and functional space that better suited their style and needs. They wanted to update the fixtures and finishes to reflect a more contemporary look, while also improving the functionality of the space.
As is often the case with older homes, this bathroom came with its share of challenges. The most significant hurdle was the existing galvanised pipework, which had to be completely removed from the slab. This was no small task, but we replaced the old piping with modern PVC, ensuring the plumbing system was reliable and up to code.
The renovation took just three weeks to complete, during which we carefully transformed the space with a modern, functional design. We installed a sleek, modern glass shower screen to complement the updated aesthetic and make the space feel larger and more open.
For the walls and floors, we selected terrazzo-style tiles that added texture and visual interest, complementing the clean, modern design. These tiles helped to create a luxurious yet practical look that would stand the test of time.
The vanity was replaced with a contemporary one that provided both storage and style, giving the bathroom a more streamlined and functional layout.
The client was thrilled with the outcome, particularly with how the bathroom now felt more spacious and functional. The project was completed within budget, and the client expressed their satisfaction with both the quality of the renovation and the seamless process.
