Bathroom Renovation

Our Leederville client came to us with a vision: open up their home, modernise the key living areas, and create a lighter, more cohesive flow throughout. The existing kitchen, laundry, bathroom, and living space all functioned—but felt closed in, dated, and lacked practical storage. The brief was clear: make it modern, functional, and beautiful.

One of the biggest challenges of the project was structural. To open the home up and remove dividing walls, we needed to install new large laminated veneer lumber (LVL) beams. Installing these in a home with single-brick boundary walls—directly backing onto neighbours—required careful planning and execution. Despite the complexity, our team delivered a seamless result that gave the client the open, airy layout they were dreaming of.

The kitchen retained its original L-shaped footprint but was completely reimagined with crisp white cabinetry, stylish gold fixtures, and dramatically improved storage. The cabinetry layout maximised functionality, transforming a once-dated space into a sleek and inviting hub of the home. The bathroom followed suit with matching white cabinetry and elegant gold handles and tapware, tying the spaces together visually.

The laundry, once a basic and underwhelming space, was upgraded with new cabinetry to dramatically boost storage and usability. Matching the kitchen’s palette, it now feels like a seamless extension of the home, not an afterthought.

To complete the transformation, darker grey tiles in the living area were replaced with timber-look floor tiles that stretch through to the kitchen and dining, creating a warm and cohesive base for the entire space. Gold-toned feature lights were added for a final layer of modern style and visual impact.

The renovation took eight weeks from start to finish, and while the client added some additional scope along the way—as many do—they remained comfortably within budget. The transformation was not only structural and aesthetic but emotional. The client was absolutely over the moon with the result, and the home now reflects their lifestyle, taste, and long-term needs.
