We had the opportunity to transform a small, dated kitchen into a modern, functional space that would better serve the client’s needs. The end result was a stunning kitchen that exceeded their expectations.
The client’s main goal was to renovate their entire home, with a focus on modernising the kitchen to suit their current needs and lifestyle. While the client was understandably nervous at the start of the process, they placed their trust in us to deliver a quality result. They wanted the kitchen to have a fresh, updated look, with an emphasis on functionality and design.
This project came with its fair share of challenges, primarily due to the age of the home. Older homes can present unexpected hurdles, and this one was no exception. The structure and layout required careful consideration, and we worked diligently to overcome these challenges and ensure that the new design was both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
The renovation took a total of nine weeks to complete. We began by gutting the old, cramped kitchen and reconfiguring the space to make it more open and functional. One of the key changes was the addition of a spacious island bench, which not only provided additional counter space but also created a central gathering point for the family.
We installed brand-new, neutral-toned cabinetry and kitchen benches, creating a sleek, contemporary look. The white cabinetry helped brighten the space and gave it a fresh, airy feel, while the clean lines and minimalist design enhanced the modern aesthetic.
To further elevate the space, we incorporated modern lighting solutions, ensuring the kitchen was well-lit and inviting. Task lighting was added to key areas such as the island and preparation areas, while ambient lighting enhanced the overall atmosphere of the room.
With updated stone benchtops for durability and style, as well as new appliances for efficiency, the kitchen was transformed into a stylish, functional hub for everyday living.
The transformation was remarkable. The small, outdated kitchen was completely revitalised into a bright, spacious, and modern space. The new lighting design brought a fresh, vibrant energy to the kitchen, making it feel welcoming and well-lit. The client was extremely happy with the result, particularly with how much larger and more functional the space felt. Since the completion of the renovation, the client has referred us to several people, some of whom have already moved forward with their own renovation projects.
