Our clients came to us with a common but essential request: they needed a more functional bathroom to suit the evolving needs of their household. With only one toilet in the home and an outdated bathroom space, their top priorities were to modernise the look and feel—and crucially—integrate a second toilet. The existing layout, however, made this easier said than done.
The original bathroom featured dated fixtures, worn tiles, and a peach-coloured bathtub that had long since fallen out of style. The space also relied on shower curtains, which made the room feel enclosed and cluttered. Adding a toilet into this already compact and awkward layout presented a real challenge—especially given the plumbing restrictions and space limitations. Our team carefully reworked the floor plan, removing the old bathtub to make room for a more generous shower zone and to accommodate the new toilet without making the space feel cramped.
The new layout features a walk-in shower with a frameless glass screen, giving the room a more open and streamlined feel. Large-format, neutral-toned tiles were chosen to visually expand the space and bring a sense of calm and continuity. A modern vanity with clean lines is complemented by timber-look cabinetry, adding both warmth and storage. The overall design leans into a neutral, contemporary palette that will stand the test of time.
Completed in just four weeks, the renovation was delivered on time and within budget. The transformation not only resolved the family’s need for a second toilet but also elevated the bathroom to a more stylish, practical, and enjoyable space.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful design and smart planning can completely reimagine a room’s purpose and feel—adding long-term value and everyday comfort.
